    Prunus laurocerasus Rotundifolia

    Cherry Laurel

    Thuja plicata

    Red Cedar

Similar to Leylandii in terms of providing a thick, evergreen conifer hedge. Slower growth vs Leylandii. Robust and strong-growing plant. Some evidence to suggest that this species is less susceptible to fungal infections

    Photinia

    Red Robin

An outstanding and vibrant, medium-sized, evergreen shrub/hedge related to a hybrid species of the rose . Glossy, elliptic leaves turning from red to green with age with white inflorescence flowers in Spring. Very easily maintained by most novice of gardeners

    Taxus baccata

    English Yew

Evergreen hedge - probably the most popular conifer hedge in British gardens. Supremely versaltile and excellent for topiary as well as garden boundary hedging. Excellent for privacy and noise control

    Fagus sylvatica

    Green Beech

The beautiful chamelion that is the Green Beech : "Nature's first green is gold". Stunning colour changes from gold-green in Spring to the warmth of russet in Autumn. An absolute delight to any garden.

    Ligustrum ovalifolium

    Privet

Popular semi-evergreen shrub. Prone to losing leaves if the Winter is especially cold. That said, will quickly regenerate in Spring. Very dense foliage meaning it can be trimmed incredibly neatly . Can produce flowers and berries to attract wildlife

    Cupressocyparis

    Leylandii

Perceived as a controversial plant owing to its exceptional growth rate. Stunning hedge plant that with the right management and aftercare will be a welcome addition to your garden without inconvenience to your neighbours

    Crataegus monogyna

    Hawthorn

Deciduous and fast growing hedge. It is scented and produces blossoms in Spring. Very thorny foliage which can protect your boundary but the main benefit aside from aesthetics is that it is a wildlife haven! Gardener's Choice!

    Ilex Crenata

    Japanese Holly

Evergreen shrub also known as box-leaved holly. Glossy dark green leaves with white flowers and black fruits. Ornamental plant that can grow to height but easily maintained for hedging or topiary

    Ilex aquifolium

    Holly

Classic hedge providing density and boundary protection with all-year-round colourful aesthetics. Slower growing than other hedges but an excellent ornamental and environmental addition to your garden. Holly is a feast for Winter wildlife

    Carpinus betulus

    Hornbeam

Semi-evergreen. Works well for boundary screening. Bright lime green foliage in Spring/Summer and has lovely colours in Autumn as well as fruits that are enjoyed by wildlife. Highly resistant to climate growing conditions

    Fagus sylvatica f. purpurea

    Copper Beech

Iconical hedging owing to its wonderful colours throughout the seasons. Despite being a deciduous hedge, some rustic colour foliage will prevail during the Winter months. A good hedge to match with others as the colours are just outstanding.
